I'm the guy that ended up buying Espen's mini-ITX minimig.
I re-cased it in an acrylic case I picked up from LCDmod Kit (
http://www.lcdmodkit.com).
I had to cut a slot in the front for the SD card socket. This was probably the hardest and most nerve-wracking part of the whole mod. Crack the front and the whole case is screwed! Got it done. A little crude, but not bad.
Also modified the reset switch that came with the case. ie tossed the original out and fabricated a new one! Red button for reset and black for menu. The header also includes the lines for the power and disk drive LED's so included them also. After I was done and putting it all together I noticed the top wasn't square as I had originally thought! It's about a 1/4" narrower than deep! Ergo, the buttons ended up on the left-hand side!
Final change I made was to de-solder the power jack and install a new one along with a power switch. To me, not having a power switch has always felt like a bit of a design flaw. My opinion and I'm sticking with it!
