Just for my curiosity, what denise bug you are referring here?

The OCS Denise doesn't reset its internal horizontal position counter during the equalization period of vertical blanking.

Just wanted to say that I've put the new firmware on one of my minimigs so far and it's working great!

Jakub, thank you once again for your brilliant continued support of the platform and the community! :D

A small core update to avoid unwanted PAL / NTSC switching. Release: FSB100125

Some game and demo seem to play arround with BEAMCON0 chipset register. The game called "Bombuzal" is really messing-up this and other ECS register! A real ECS/AGA Amiga will show a totally destroyed screen and fast changes of screen refresh rate. My own PAL/VGA capable monitor turn into a strange more with "beeep" sound after a few moment... not good! Any real OCS Amiga also dont provide switsching those mode via software, therefor its all right.

Core feature via OSD:
OCS > no software switching of PAL / NTSC available
ECS > software switching of PAL / NTSC is available

Bootloader is still able to switch PAL / NTSC mode, even if OCS is set as default!

Isn't that number slightly misleading? 100125 seems more like it :)

Hi there.

Regarding this firmware, just done the Upgrade......

Did a few Sysinfo tests, and the HDD's are only pulling ~830KB/s (Kilobyte).
Now it could be that I am not using a fast SDcard, which is a 4GB Sandisk with an Icon 2 inside a circle. Class 2 ?

HI whiteb,
I have a Transcend 16GB Class 6 and' I'm pulling 1500 to 1800 KB/S depends on the partitions i have, so it looks like your SDcard is slower because you have class 2 indeed.

Sysinfo:
Dhrystone 1611
A600 3.04
A1200 1.32
CPU/Mhz 39.00

Is your Minimig board modified to support fast-spi clock rate: R50 & R51 (close to the sd-slot) do have a bridge wire?
If yes, you may enable Fast-SPI function in OSD.
If NOT, please dont activate this Fast-SPI function to avoid data lost.

This upgrade is relative easy to do, look at here:

Also depending on used sd/mmc card the data transfer rate may be different.
Jakub also explain this to me: The larger the memory card is, the slower the transfer rate in Minimig will be.
This depends on internal access structure of those memory chip addressing. In PC card reader device, this card will be much faster due to block addressing mode.
Indeed a 128MB sd card show a faster data transfer rate then a 2GB card and a 4GB is even slower.

Anyway this Fast-SPI mod. will gain more transfer speed, even on 8GB card, but currently only useable for ARM chip.
Currently I do have a 8GB sd/hc card in use, it show ~1.62MB/s in SysinfoV3.24 device speed test

Yes I have done the SPI mod and activated it in the firmware.

And Workbench still loads :)

Hm, then I also dont know why it is that slow. Just 2 more aspect:
Is your sd-card formatted with 32kb of cluster size?

How large is your hardfile or is it possibly fragmented on DOS/fat side?
