What about us that already owns a MiniMig?

Will the ARM controller card be sold seperatly? SO I can upgrade my beloved MiniMig.

The features of the ARM contoller looks very cool!

I would really like to get my hands on one!

I think the idea is that you simply remove your existing, socketed PIC chip and plug the ARM board in its place. So it should work with all standard Minimig boards, if I am correct.

That also how I understand it.

But if it only gets bundled with the new MiniMig...

This is definitely going to be sold as an upgrade option to existing V1.1 minimig owners / Mini-ITX minimig owners may also be able to utilize this upgrade board.

Whether or not it becomes a bundled item with new minimig sales remains to be seen. There is a rumor that acube may be partnering to manufacture these ARM boards.. While this would be an interesting development, I would hope it wouldn't slow down initial availability.

Everyone is anxiously awaiting word from Jakub as to manufacturing and distribution of the board. Only a small number of individuals have the ARM board at this point.

My understanding is that we are VERY close to an official release.

The best thing to do is continue expressing your interest here until we learn otherwise.

Maybe Jakub will chime in an give an update as to what is going on... :) Jakub? Are you there?

Hi,

I'm still working on the upcoming firmware release, some documentation and user manual must be finished.

Regarding the ARM board: I must estimate the costs and then I will start collecting pre-orders from those who want one. Should happen very soon. Please be patient.

Cheers.

It would be nice if there was a place where we could sign up for preorder.
